There’s nothing like a happy tail!
Dr. Forbes earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Illinois Veterinary College in 2004, where she was a member of the Society of Phi Zeta (Veterinary Scholastic Honor Society). She also earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan Schools of Business and Literature, Science, and Arts.
In addition to her studies, Dr. Forbes volunteered her time to caring for sick and injured wildlife through the college’s 24-hour Wildlife Medical Clinic. In 2002, she was selected to work as the clinic’s student co-manager.
Dr. Forbes has been practicing veterinary medicine since May 2004. Her areas of interest include chronic health conditions, pain management, critical care, and surgery. Dr. Forbes’ passion is not only to practice the highest quality medicine, but to comfort her patients, care for their well-being, and guide families through complicated and challenging conditions. Dr. Forbes has also been certified as a Fear Free Veterinarian.
Dr. Forbes lives in Ann Arbor with her husband and three children. When she is not working or checking in on her patients, Dr. Forbes enjoys spending time with her own four-legged and two-legged family members – either running, biking, reading, traveling, or creating Lego buildings.
